The Armenian Center for Political Rights and the Helsinki Committee of Armenia have published a joint ad hoc report on the assembly held on June 12 in Yerevan, near the National Assembly building, and the actions of the police.
Based on a detailed investigation, the report examines the incidents that occurred during the assembly and the conduct of law enforcement authorities. Numerous episodes documented in the report contain elements of acts prohibited under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
The established facts give grounds to assume that the deployment of grenades was carried out pursuant to the direct orders of Police Chief A. Hovhannisyan and Commander of the Police Troops A. Babayan.
